Prelims Day 3: Chem Paper 3

Oh oh, it was easier than I expected! xD

Chem Paper 3 is a 2-hour paper. 5 20-mark questions are provided, and we are to  only pick 4 to do. Yesterday, I attempted RI 09 paper, and found it really hard, compared to other JCs’ 09 papers. For the other JCs’, I could finish each question in around 20 minutes, but I spent very close to 30 minutes for every question in the RI paper, leaving very little buffer time at the end. It was certainly a confidence pooper. :(

But surprisingly, today’s paper was not as difficult as 09′s. I managed to complete every question in 20-25 minutes, such that I finished all 4 in 1h 30min! LOL! That meant I could actually do all 5 questions within 2 hours, lolol. However, the fact was that there were some really challenging part-questions along the way in the otherwise smooth-sailing 2 hours. Hope I managed to correctly tackle them!

After the paper, I spoke to a few peeps, and realised that I made a silly choice in choosing the question not to do. I finished questions 1, 2 and 4, before making a choice between question 3 and 5. Somehow or rather, I decided to kick question 5 and did 3 instead. But from what I heard, question 5 was very simple, arghhh. Probably I should have done question 5 instead of 3! And, eventually, I found out that I lost a few marks in question 3 after comparing with my classmate. Zzz. Bad choice, bad choice. ><

Oh by the way, the paper was in the afternoon at 1.30pm. I woke up at 9+am, did some last minute mugging, then reached school at a few minutes to 12pm.  I brought nothing but my stationery, so I ended up staring at people doing last-minute mugging in the library. They really stressed me out… I felt so insecure slacking while they continued to reinforce their knowledge. I shall not come so early in future for afternoon papers!
